The Pushkin Center
The Pushkin Center Library, located at 1435 Van Hise Hall, was started by Professor J. Thomas Shaw, who donated his personal collection of scholarly materials related to Pushkin. The collection now contains close to 8000 items, including scholarly editions of Pushkin's works, editions of his letters, complete serial sets published by the Russian and Soviet Academy of Sciences, and many difficult to find monographs and articles. Items do not circulate, but are available to the Department and the greater University community for reference and photocopying on the fourteenth floor of Van Hise.
