The 2009 AATSEEL-WI Conference will be held in Madison 16-17 October 2009. We invite abstracts on any aspect of Slavic literatures and cultures (including film) and on issues in the learning and teaching of Slavic languages and literatures. Comparative topics and interdisciplinary approaches are welcome.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is 31 August 2009.
Abstracts (300-500 words) can be sent via email. To ensure readability, please paste the proposal into the body of your message. If you send your file as an email attachment, please name it with your last name and your first name initial. Abstracts sent by US Mail or fax should include FOUR copies prepared for an anonymous review: only one copy should have the author's name and address. See link at bottom of page for guidelines for preparing abstracts.
Each proposal will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation. Individual papers will be combined into panels by the conference committee. Authors will hear about their proposals by mid-September.
The complete proposal should include:
- Author’s contact information (name, affiliation, mailing address, telephone, and email)
- Paper title
- 300-500 word abstract
- Equipment request (if necessary)
